Rajesh M. Hegde

Rajesh M Hegde is a Umang Gupta Chair Professor,  in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur.   He was also the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering (2020-2023) and the Center for Continuing Education (CCE)(2019-2021) at IIT Kanpur. He was also awarded the  P.K. Kelkar Fellowship between 2009-2013 at IIT Kanpur. Between 2023-2024, He was Professor in Department of Electrical Engineering and Dean Research and Development at IIT Dharwad while on leave from IIT Kanpur. His areas of interest include Machine Learning, AI, future wireless networks, pervasive/mobile communication, WSN, IoT, speech/audio processing for ASR and VR, and multimodal information fusion. He also has considerable interest in robotics applications.
